Has Bill Gates lost it?

I read this article a few minutes a go on MSNBC and was completely stunned by a comment Bill Gates made:

“Nowadays, security guys break the Mac every single day. Every single day, they come out with a total exploit, your machine can be taken over totally. I dare anybody to do that once a month on the Windows machine. “

This statement has to be the most fundamentally flawed thing I’ve ever heard from the mouth of a PC advocate. It’s just completely false! For one thing, I’ve never encountered, let alone heard about, a single working virus that can break the Mac OS without somebody typing in their root password, and for another, “I dare anybody to [break windows] once a month” WTF?!! Is he insane?!! I am wrong or are there already 2 viruses out there for Vista? And how many new viruses spring up daily on good old XP?

Mr Gates I think it’s time for you retire, you’re talking out of your ass.

   May I remind you about http://applefun.blogspot.com/index.html. The Apple bug a day that has so far yielded 31 zero day exploits for the Mac. That is what Bill was referring to when he said that.
